Who is Fonzy

November 26th, 2006

In brief, I was born in Kuwait on October 13th, 1978 and yes it was a Friday:) Friday the 13th!!! and for all u superstitious people, TOUGH!! I love that day.

Anyway, I stayed in Kuwait till I was 13 studying at the Universal American School (UAS). After the gulf war in 1991, we moved to Syria where I stayed for 3 years studying in a british school, Pakistan International School. Then I moved to Lebanon and continued my education at International College (IC) in Beirut during my last 3 years in school, graduating in 1996.

I then got accepted into engineering school at the American University of Beirut (AUB) where I spent my freshman year and two other years trying to survive through engineering school. I hated that major and ended up hating the university as a whole, although it does have the best campus and campus life around. I then switched to the Lebanese American University (LAU) studying computer science in the campus located in the Jbeil area. I studied that for another year but was not too happy with it, so I switched again. I remained in the same university but moved to the campus in Beirut where I stuied Business Computer (Management Information Systems) and graduated in 2004 with a BS.

I continued to acheive another degree in Banking and Finance in 2005. As soon as I graduted I moved to Kuwait in September 2005 and started working with my dad at his contracting company where I stayed for 9 months, during which I was applying for other jobs. I got accepted by several companies and chose the best offer and in June of 2006, I joined Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait working as a Credit Officer in the Corporate Banking Division.  I worked with them for 1 year 4 months and I have to say I loved every minute of it, the people there were not only work buddies, many of them turned out to be real good friends.  But seeking a better career path, I was tempted by an incredible job offer from the Commercial Bank of Kuwait in the Private Banking sector, which I ended up joining in October 2007 and I am still with them till today.  Who knows whats next ;)
Thats a general summary of my life, I know ur not interested but I guess I just felt like keeping track of my life in one way or another.

    hehe….. favorite colors are black, crimson red, and sometimes blue.

    i still like rock and RnB. long time ago, i was into heavy metal but it got way too noisy to downgraded to rock then hip hop and RnB then trance then house. I still listen to all kinds depending on the mood and what am doing.

    History of love life……. now that is a long looooooooooooooooong story :)

    Was random blog reading and stopped by ‘October 13th’, I was born on the same day a year before you though, and it was a thursday. :P I love it when my birthday coincides with Friday, people freak out :)

    Lol. It’s Elias in Arabic. It’s a name of a prophet. I didn’t know that at first, but I still like the sound of Elijah :P

    About me : i am just a fellow indian expat in kuwait being born in April of 78 and did my schooling at ISK until the iraqi invasion in 90. Continued my schooling in my native land in India and arrived back in 1994 to ISK in Salmiya. After grade 12, i left for india to pursue studies in Engg and now am back in Q8 since 2004 Nov.
    Anyway, i came across ur blog thru my couzin’s blog “www.Rumbling.net” who mentioned to me about Mark and Nat’s “www.248am.com” blog and so linked to ur blogspot accordingly.
