Earthquake in Dubai

September 10th, 2008

Thousands of people are being evacuated from high-rise towers in Dubai after an earthquake tremor hit Dubai today. These tremors are from a 6.2 quake that hit Iran and spread to Dubai. The aftershock measured 4.8 on the Richter scale. Buildings all along Sheikh Zayed Road were evacuated after the tremor struck at around 3.00pm, with crowds of confused people flooding out into the street.     ok this may be silly but ya3ni il seriously high rise buildings ili on sheikh zayid road lama they sway and i presume topple over wont they fall on the people loitering right beneath it!!

    hehe yeah good point, the smart thing to do is head to open areas… but then again, u know human nature, wherever there is a problem they go as close as possible to witness the action ;)

    I did a similar stupid thing in the biggest earthquake I have ever been in. Ran to the window to check out the action outside. Not smart!
