New Traffic Law Penalties

These new traffic law penalties are absurd!!! Then again, with all the dumbass drivers on the roads these days, they had it coming! Apparently, MOI have reached a dead end with trying to raise awareness in the drivers, so they decided to implement maximum punishments on violators.  But still, a lot of drivers out there have salaries of 250KD, and one of those violations could destroy him.

What? Driving with a foreign license can get you in prison for 1 – 4 weeks? Is it me or does that sound extreme? and prison time for over-speeding????

Are they looking to fill jails or something? Coz if they really implement these, half of Kuwait will be in jail!!!

they dont show on the moi site immediately, i think it needs a week or so to show. there is talk about severe penalties for crossing a red light, especially if speeding, but there is talk those wont apply till May 1st. not sure, for now i think its a substantial fine and revoking license for a while. just wait and make sure first

Thanks! But what is considered crossing red signal? Rite when i crossed the first signal it turned red. Is that considered red signal crossing? which means wen i was at the center of the 2 signal at the junction it turned red.

if it turned red before u passed, then u passed a red signal… but ur saying u were in the middle of the junction, so ur safe since u passed it before it turned red… plus unless there is a camera or a cop on the junction then u wont caught
