Yesterday’s Internet Blackout

I’m sure yesterday was a frustrating day for a LOT of people.  At around 11:00 a.m. the internet was down in the whole Middle East.  At first I thought it was only where I work, but then I tried the Wnet which also was down, soon enough everyone was complaining about it.  The only two who remained functional were Zain’s E-go and Fasttelco.  According to United Networks, who sent me 3 messages yesterday, what happened was a result of 2 major undersea cables being cut, which affected all internet providers in the Middle East.  Everything seems functional today but it is still a little slow, but I got to say that although it was cut for less than a day, it felt like eternity!
